Mission: find and photograph
Jahrtausendturm
Cracauer Wasserfall
Magdeburger Reiter
using only our map, our minds, and Sarah's translation skills (will we make it?)
We started the journey confidently, but going the wrong direction. By the time Sarah asked a nice young man (nice young men were very helpful to us) where we were, we were clear off the map. We decided to talk to people on the street more often to ensure we were going the right way.
We soon found ourselves lost again on an island in the middle of the city. While searching for the "waterfall" we discovered many beautiful places.

No one we asked gave a clear answer about where the "waterfall" was. We later found out the reason for the confusion was that the "waterfall" contained no water.
We were a little dissapointed.
After the discouraging start to our journey, we headed for Der Jahrthausendturm, the tallest wooden structure in Germany. This should have been easy...
...or not. Lost again.
After Sarah asked a man where the tower was, he pointed directly behind us, and we turned around to see a tall wooden structure.
Our third and final destination was in die Altstadt near our hostel. We crossed the bridge and came acro
We loved our adventures and misadventures. It was great to be "pushed out of the nest" and to take on Magdeburg with some independence.
